The Vacancy
We are currently looking to appoint a E Learning Practitioner to join our team at East Durham College. We are a medium sized College in the North East with a unique FE offer which includes land based, 14-16 and HE, and this role would support across the breadth of our provision. We have been rated Good by Ofsted since 2008, and following our most recent inspection (2024) we achieved outstanding for Personal Development and Behaviours and Attitudes.
We are looking for an ambitious individual to work flexibly alongside the Digital Learning Technologist to support the curriculum and business support staff to develop and improve digital literacy across College. You will work with the curriculum and business support staff to develop e-learning materials and activities across the college on a range of platforms. Recent experience of working in the FE sector would be an advantage but not essential, you should be educated to at least level 3 in an IT related subject, have current experience of delivering IT training and experience in supporting a range of educational technologies such as VLE, online collaboration tools and technologies that facilitate engagement.
