Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director of Lackham to join our team.

Location: Lackham, Wiltshire, with travel to all campuses

Salary: £65,123, £67,185 or £68,772 per annum (dependant on skills, qualifications, and experience) (Exec Director Grade 4-6)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 Hours Per week, 52 weeks)

Executive Director of Lackham – The Role:

Are you an inspirational, creative, and talented educational leader? Do you have experience of leading curriculum to deliver an excellent student experience?

We are looking for a dynamic professional with a proven track record of success and a genuine desire to play a pivotal role in the strategic development of the College’s curriculum and the Lackham Campus. We have a clear vision to be recognised as providing outstanding education, delivering the skills needed locally and for the wider region.

With extensive experience of curriculum leadership and a strong understanding of Further and Higher Education, the Executive Director will be required to support and deliver on the strategy for the development of the campus.

We particularly welcome applications from individuals with a land based background, as well as those with transferable skills from related fields, where experience aligns with the nature and context of the role.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the post holder will have a key role in building on the excellent partnerships and professional relationships with local stakeholders.

The post holder will lead and manage a number of Heads of Faculty with provision for 16-18 year olds, adults, apprentices and higher education as well as Residential accommodation and the farm and its associated functions.

Executive Director of Lackham – Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the delivery of excellent student experience and outcomes, focusing on progress, achievement, wellbeing, and personal development, in line with college targets and national benchmarks.
2. Provide strategic and operational leadership for curriculum and the designated campus as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
3. Ensure faculties, departments, and campus operations are managed, developed, and reviewed to achieve the highest standards of quality performance.
4. Oversee daily campus operations, maintaining an outstanding environment for staff and students, participating in campus activities, and ensuring policies and procedures are consistently applied.
5. Drive the development and delivery of ambitious strategic and operational plans and lead the promotion of the campus and its curriculum internally and externally.
6. Analyse and utilise relevant management information to inform decision-making within the local campus context.

You will share a focus for collaborating so that together we can improve the lives of students. It is important that you have a reflective approach to leadership where curiosity, collaboration, and respect lead to a strong learning culture.
