An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Abingdon & Witney College as a Engineering Lecturer. You should have the relevant qualifications and/ or experience to be able to deliver and assess up to and including level 4 in Engineering at our Abingdon campus.
If you are an experienced Mechanical engineer who is looking to get into teaching or assessing, then this post could be perfect for you! You don’t need to be a qualified assessor or teacher – we will support you in achieving the necessary qualifications. We just ask that you are motivated by helping others to learn, and that you really want to make a difference to people’s lives.

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
This role may be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
