We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated Arboriculture Lecturer / Short Course Trainer based at our Houghall Campus (with an expectation that you will be able to work across all 3 sites) on an hourly paid basis.

Main Duties of the Role:

Due to continued growth in our arboriculture curriculum, we are interested in receiving applications from well organised and self-motivated individuals vocationally qualified to deliver either Level 4/5 in Arboriculture and/or NPTC Certificates of Technical Competence in land-based specialism.

We are interested in receiving applications from those wishing to work wither on a contracted or a self-employed basis.

The successful candidate will join a strong and supportive team delivering a varied blend of practical and classroom sessions from our Houghall Campus in Durham City. While previous experience of teaching adults would be an advantage, the college provides a strong mentoring programme for those with industry experience wishing to move into teaching and with the commitment to offer our learners an outstanding learning experience.

Essential Requirement:

Minimum of a level 4 in land-based specialism OR Certificates of professional competence relevant area.
Level 2 Maths and English or above.
Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
