Location: Lackham, Wiltshire

Salary: £27,347 - £38,101 per annum, Academic Grade 4 - 13 (dependant on skills, qualifications & experience) 

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 37hrs per week, 52wks per year

Lecturer in Agriculture – The Role:







The Lecturer in Agriculture will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students across a range of agriculture-related courses. The ideal candidate will be passionate about agriculture, possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field, and have a commitment to fostering student success.




Located on a stunning 500-acre campus in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside, Lackham provides an exceptional environment for both teaching and learning. Our campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a large Animal Centre and an advanced Agri-tech centre, ensuring that our staff and students have access to the best resources available.

 

Lecturer in Agriculture - Key Responsibilities:







delivering engaging and effective lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in Agriculture and related subjects,
developing and updating curriculum content to ensure it reflects current industry standards and practices,
assessing and evaluating student work, providing constructive feedback to support their development,
mentoring and supporting students, helping them to achieve their academic and career aspirations,
collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience for students,
engaging with industry professionals and organisations to enhance the learning experience and provide students with networking opportunities,
participating in departmental meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement activities. 

 

Lecturer in Agriculture – You:

The ideal candidate will have:




a relevant degree or level 3 vocational qualification in Agriculture or a closely related field,
a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one),
excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
ability to inspire and motivate students,
strong organisational skills and attention to detail,
commitment to continuous professional development.
